Last weekend was the Wizard World Nashville Comic Con.
It was my first Comic Con ever and it was so much fun. I set up my booth Friday afternoon and had no idea what to expect. At 3pm the doors opened and people of all ages started filtering in.
My table was right across from LeVar Burton from Reading Rainbow and Star Trek and Shannen Doherty from 90210 and Charmed. So, of course I had to be a creeper.
There were so many great cosplay costumes. I don't know who this chick is supposed to be but I loved the lines on the costume. She said she was from a movie but I was baffled, so if you are reading this I will give you a shout out if you message me what this is from.
And of course, there were zombies.
And this guy. In a straight up comic suit. Freakin awesome.
Day 2, Saturday, started bright and early. The convention hall was packed. The costumes were even better and I had to chance to speak to so many cool people. People from all over the country came to the convention.
There were so many talented artists and great things to pick up. I wanted something from every booth. But, since I'm not a millionaire I got a leather bound book which I have been wanting for years.
And a really dope alien painting by artist Michael Kulick. Cool dude and an amazing artist.
The last day was a little slower than the first two days, but I had a chance to meet Michael Rooker from The Walking Dead and I got to talk to some of the other artists a bit more.
Overall the weekend was a blast. I had so much fun and want to thank everyone who stopped by my booth, It means a lot to me : )
I'm Jackie, an artist, illustrator, and friend to ghosts, monsters, and aliens. This blog is full of DIY projects, stories, and things I think are cool. Stay weird.
