Collections aren't about other people. They are about you.
Collect things that you think are
unique and interesting.
Find them on your journey.
You will remember these things more than a t-shirt or shot glass.
Gather the artifacts of your story.
Take the time to discover, rummage, search and find.
Fill your life with things you love, not stuff.
Art from places you visit
Whenever I go on a trip, to a place I've never been, I always look for local art. I'm not big on souvenir shops because they usually don't have anything too original aka they are tourist traps.
You have to find a local shop or get lucky and visit on a day they are having a festival of some kind. These prints I picked up in Nassau, Bahamas while on a cruise.
Thrift Store/ Antique Shop Finds
I have spent many hours rummaging through someone else's old shit, and I love it. You can find the coolest things. The main things I search for are interesting old photographs of people in the 50's and 60's, globes and maps, and Hawaiian stuff.
I'm Jackie, an artist, illustrator, and friend to ghosts, monsters, and aliens. This blog is full of DIY projects, stories, and things I think are cool. Stay weird.
